Want to learn the basics of still lifes in oil?
In this workshop you will create your own original still life using household and found objects as well as items from nature.
Instructor Luke Marion will be teaching the fundamentals and ideas around still lifes, including the difference between oil paint knowledge and principles versus practical application in action. Luke will show the process by which he sets up, starts and finishes a still life, demonstrating the principles and tricks used to plan and get through a painting session while successfully breathing life into this classical genre of painting.

This interactive workshop is suitable for all ages looking to learn about the fundamentals of setting up and creating a still life painting. This session will use oils, but the general techniques can be used for acrylic and other mediums as well.

Cost is $50 per participant. Cost includes all supplies for participants including the completed piece you will take home! Feel free to bring items i.e. leaves, flowers, fruit, home items like grocery containers, cans etc., though the instructor will also have some participants can use. If you would like to work in a medium other than oil, please bring your own paints or other materials you may need. Oil supplies will be provided.Description text goes here
